Former Beaverton High School Quarterback Sam Nair Announces OSU’s Commitment To Appear On NBC Sports North West

Former Beaverton High School star Sam Nair has announced his commitment to the state of Oregon.

Noir came to the Beavers after spending most of his career with the Colorado Buffaloes.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound quarterback started all six games for Colorado last season, throwing 1,101 yards, six touchdowns and seven breaks. His drama earned her an All-Pack-12 pick.

Nair’s promise comes four days after he announced his entry on the transfer portal.

From an 18 year old to a 23 year old adult, I have learned a lot from this city, this organization, and most importantly, this soccer program, “Noir Typed.” I have known lifelong friends and created memories that I will treasure forever. It was truly an honor to wear “Colorado” across my chest. Thank you to everyone involved in my career at CU – in the field, in the community, and academically. That said, I’m excited for what God has in store for my future in this game. Once a fan … thanks for everything.

Tristan Gabia and Chance Nolan returned from last season to join a team deep in quarterback. Gabia is a projected starter, but Nair will likely have more shots when he competes for the job.

“I obviously enjoyed my time here at CU and the decision to return here was one of my best decisions,” Noyer said in a statement released by the school. “I thought Tuti, I thought it would be more. But at the same time, I was unable to finish the season partly due to my shoulder injury. So now I’m looking forward to a new opportunity and a fresh start, a place where they need seasoned quarterbacks who have the extra experience to play on both sides of the ball. ”

Prior to the 2019 season, Noir went to safety and appeared in 11 games. Despite having more playing time, he withdrew his name and entered the transfer portal before playing a 4-2 Buffalo quarterback in 2020.
